2019 ANNUAL STARS

Annual Stars are predictions based on the stars as they fly into different sectors each year. The Feng Shui year begins February 4th each year, close to the start of the Chinese New Year.

While the Annual Stars are weaker than the Natal Stars, they are still worth noting as they can give some insight as to why certain things are occurring throughout the year and can provide ways of curing and enhancing certain areas based on the auspicious or inauspicious nature of the energies that are present for that time period.

Provided below is a basic overview of what can be expected from the Annual Stars this year. Spending large amounts of time in the sectors where the stars reside for the year can increase the chances of the types of energies that they bring to affect you -for example, look for the stars that fly to the sector of your bedroom. The stars that fly to your front door are also most relevant.

2019 is The Year of The Earth Pig. I’m excited and hopeful that this is going to be a great year for all. The Sign of the Pig is considered to be reliable, honest, diplomatic and knowledgeable. People who are represented by the sign of the Pig are also jovial and unlikely to be angered easily. They are good natured people who are loyal but often taken advantage of if they are not careful due to their giving and caring disposition. Their best friends are Sheep and Rabbits.

The Pig Element is Water, and this Year is an Earth year, so we can expect some roadblocks, some uncertainty and occasional unclear moments. This is because when water and earth mix, the result is a controlling cycle – and mud! While this may not be a direct reference to what you will personally expect, but it may be the “flavour” of more general themes that play out in the world.

This year represents both a new beginning as well as closure, as the Pig Year represents an end to the cycle of the Chinese Zodiac Wheel, which makes this year an important year for resolve and completion. Do you have unfinished business? Incomplete projects? An unfulfilled dream? Or any plans you have been putting on hold? Well, this is the year to tie up all those loose ends! Next year will be a year of new beginnings and change, with the beginning of a new turn of the Chinese Zodiac Wheel occurring, so make sure you take this year as an opportunity to prepare yourself for a fresh start in 2020.

A few of the notable things we can look out for in the year ahead include the Prosperity Star making its way to the centre sector, bringing positive gains for finances for all of the family. There are likely to be work-related romantic scandals, both on a personal level (in your own workplace) and on a more public level (in government or other high-profile situations). The chance of travel is increased this year, as is recognition, especially for males. There may be health issues that affect decisions or thinking. There may also be frequent arguments about money, and women should pay special attention to their health and avoid carelessness while driving.

The main areas that you need to worry about are the front door sector and bedroom sectors of your home, as well as keeping an eye where the less auspicious stars happen to fall (especially that tricky 5!). You will find each of the energies that move into the sectors described, with advice for handling them, but be sure to adjust this advice based on how these stars interplay with your own homes Permanent Natal Stars.

ANNUAL STARS 2019 THE YEAR OF THE EARTH PIG:

This year we have the 8 White Star flying to the Centre, which means that the year is blessed with vibrant energies that are great for finances. Good fortune, success and reward for effort are all on the cards with this star. Hopefully this will benefit the whole family and will mean a prosperous year is to be had for all (wouldn’t that be great??) The star is also associated with property and real estate, as it is of the Earth element. This may be a good year for buying your first home, or starting or expanding your investment property portfolio. The star can be activated with Fire element, especially candles, lamps or red furnishings, but do be cautious if you have Natal 5’s or 2’s in the centre, as activating these would not be a good move!

The 1 white star will be in the West and will bring positive energies concerned with wisdom, fame and studies. It brings mentor luck, so expect guidance to be available to you if you need it. In the West it is likely to benefit children especially. This is activated by water, but be super careful with water, as it will activate whatever else you’ve got going on star-wise in this sector too. So, unless you have Natal Stars that I have suggested to also activate with water in this sector previously, don’t add water. You can activate with Metal instead if you like, but ultimately this auspicious stars’ presence should still bring some positivity without further activation.

The inauspicious 2 Black Star will fly into the Northeast this year, bringing energies concerned with poor health as well as possible nervous breakdown and stress. Not great for anyone whose bedroom or front door are in the Northeast and who had to contend with the presence of the 3 in 2018.This star can generate financial issues, and illness in all its forms. It tends to make small problems bigger. Watch out for this one as always, especially when it flies into a sector already occupied by a 2 or a 5. If you find this star is affecting you, add white colours and metal in the Northeastern sector of your home to help tame the energies. You can also add a wu lou (a gourd, either metal or real) if you can get hold of one.

The 3 Green Star flies to the South and will bring possibilities of bloodshed, but more likely just general quarrelsome ad disagreeable behavior from those who occupy these areas of your homes. This is a troublemaker star, likely to cause problems out of the blue. Gossip, politicking and backstabbing are caused by this stars energies. You may notice an increase in tension in the family if it’s an area you all frequent like a living space, and the energies here are also associated with Lawsuits, Legal Battles and even Theft. If this star falls in your bedroom or at your front door you are most likely to be affected. The effects of this star can be diminished with fire element, but if there are Natal 5’s or 2’s also present in this sector use metal to diminish instead. Avoid having water features or fish tanks in this sector this year as this will activate this star and increase its negative effects.

The 4 Dark Green Star will fly to the North this year. Great news for anyone with a front door or bedroom here who has spent the last year dealing with the woes caused by the 5 in this sector.  While the 4 can be troublesome in some cases (usually concerning sexual deviance and relationship woes) the energies concerned with this star can also bring with it really positive Romantic and Academic vibes. Thinking of starting a course or looking for love? This is a great year for it if your bedroom, study or front door are in the North!

This year the ominous 5 Yellow Star will fly to the Southwest. This is unfortunate if your bedroom, front door or kitchen occupy this sector, and also unfortunate for mothers, who are represented by this sector of the home. The 5 is always the most inauspicious star. It brings energies that can influence things like accidents, injuries, cancer, broken bones and financial hardship, but usually just signifies difficulty and obstacles. Avoid spending too much time in this area if you can.  Place a saltwater cure and plenty of metal in this sector and get rid of all fire elements (candles and anything red, pink, orange or purple) as soon as you can. Try to keep this sector of the house quiet, use lighting sparingly and if you have a fireplace in this area refrain from using it if this is a possibility. If this is where your front door is then add metal to help tame the stars. For example, you can place a grouping of metal ornaments here or hang a clock with a metal pendulum.

The 6 White Star flies into the East, bringing positive energies concerned with exam success and career promotion. It will be a really good area to spend time in this year, especially if you also have auspicious Natal Stars residing here. This is the Heavenly Blessings star, and can bring unexpected windfalls and happy surprises. It can be enhanced with metal.

The 7 Red Star will fly into the Southeast this year and may cause illness, fires and Injury, and robbery, fraud or theft. There can be losses – like that of a job, relationship, health or income), problems with teeth – including animal bites and scandalous activity. We can also expect this star to cause volatile emotions, especially between couples who spend large amounts of time in this sector. The 7 Star can mean unhealthy rivalry or competition, so keep an eye on your competitors if you run a business, and place lots of décor in blues and blacks or some Yin (non-moving) water here to placate this star.

The 9 Purple Star flies into the Northwest this year, bringing wisdom and joy, promotion and opportunity. The energies here are fabulous for new beginnings and prosperity. Family celebrations, births and weddings are associated with this star. Men will especially benefit from the presence of this star in the Northwest, however men with heart conditions, blood issues or headaches or migraines may find these issues amplified by the 9 star. Adding some fire element here is going to really get things happening, but be cautious as they may affect your Natal Stars in this area if they happen to be inauspicious. I advise AGAINST activating the 9 star with fire if you have either a 5 or 2 Natal Star here, or if you have a man in the house with the aforementioned health issues.
